Children of the Light

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord:

walk as children of light:

Ephesians 5:8

Light and darkness are conflicting aspects of our universe that are commonly used in Scripture to illustrate righteousness and wickedness. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has called His disciples the “light of the world” as a way of picturing the truth we now have because of the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. The Apostle Paul reiterates this truth by challenging God’s people to continue to brightly radiate the True Light

Are you seeking to faithfully shine your light as a visible testimony for the Lord Jesus Christ?

May the Lord bless you this day as you seek to follow Him.

Never Forget What You’ve Learned

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
II Timothy 3:14-16

Yesterday, I had the wonderful blessing during the graduation ceremony to challenge the graduating seniors of Tabernacle Christian School to never forget the things they had learned from the Word of God. The right teachings of the Bible have the potential to lead a young person to a lifetime of faithful service and strengthening fellowship with his Heavenly Father. Please continue to pray for our recent graduates as they begin exciting new chapters in their lives.

When we meditate upon God’s Word we will be transformed into the person God wants us to be. Biblical meditation certainly affects our speech. Do your conversations reflect the fact that you have spent time with God in His Word? Are the words of your mouth pleasing to God?
