A Passion for Christ

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Philippians 3:10

When I was a boy I really enjoyed collecting baseball cards. My brother and I would memorize all the statistics of our favorite players and we could tell anyone who wanted to know how many home runs or strikeouts they had during a certain season.

              One year my father took our family to Cooperstown, New York to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame. As we walked around I noticed a special part of the museum dedicated to baseball cards. What a sight! There was every card from every player including ones that were very rare and worth a lot of money. While I knew about these players, I really did not know them; and so it is true with our fellowship with God.

How do you know God?

Is your knowledge of Him simply factual and academic or is it personal and relational?
