Student
athletes are expected to manifest the highest standards of
Christian living and conduct at all times. Incidents of
smoking, drinking, drugs, gambling, dancing or personal
physical contact will result in the student being cut from
the team.
The
following requirements must be met by all student athletes:
1. An
overall “C” average.
2. If two (2) “D’s” and/or
(1) “F appear on a progress report or report card, the
athlete is automatically suspended from participation on the
team until the next progress report or report card.
At that time, if the athlete has improved his/her grades to
meet the minimum requirements for athletic participation,
he/she may rejoin the team on probation. On each Monday the
probationary athlete will be required to have a weekly grade
sheet signed by each of his/her teachers showing he/she is
still eligible to play. If at any time the athlete fails to
fulfill the minimum requirements, he/she will be
automatically cut from the team for the remainder of the
season.
3. Student must attend at
least four (4) classes on the day of the game or will not be
allowed to participate.
4. Student must attend
school on Friday if a game is played on Saturday.
5. Student must be in
compliance with church attendance policy. (Outlined
on page 6 under admission procedure)
6. Athletes must serve
detentions on the date issued, no exceptions will be made
due to practices or games.
